Trips to Vemdalen

Vemdalen offers three ski areas: Björnrike, Vemdalsskalet, and Klövsjö/Storhogna. Your SkiPass is valid for all three, no matter where you purchased it.

Björnrike

We've taken the best family skiing in the mountains to new heights.

This winter brings new attractions to Björnrike: Grizzly Express, the longest, highest, and fastest 6-chair lift in the region. Two new slopes. A new button lift. An efficient snowmaking system. This winter, the turns in Björnrike's powder are more thrilling than ever.

The Grizzly Express is 2,043 meters long with a vertical drop of 470 meters, and the journey to the top takes under six minutes. Less travel time means more skiing time, which is always a good thing.

In Björnrike, every lift offers both an easy and more challenging slope.

Grizzly Express and the new slopes are located on Blästerfjället, one of Björnrike's three mountains. Here you'll also find our beloved children's area, where we've added a new button lift directly from the parking lot near the new 6-chair lift. We’ve also opened a mini sports shop at the children's area with hats, gloves, goggles, and all those essentials that sometimes get lost or forgotten.

You'll also find a warming hut with all necessities and a cozy lunch spot. Björnrike is a suntrap with long, well-prepared carving opportunities across three mountains.

Vemdalsskalet

Skiing on two mountains – Hovde and Skalsfjället. With a total of 18 slopes and 10 lifts, there’s skiing for everyone.

Vemdalsskalet is the most enjoyable ski area. Five slopes on Skalsfjället and thirteen on Hovde, offering a perfect blend of relaxation and challenge.

Hovde is a skier’s mountain created by passionate skiers for like-minded enthusiasts. Skalsfjället, naturally connected with Hovde, has also been revamped recently.

A ski area should be full of joy, surprises, and excitement, all of which await at Vemdalsskalet. The most laughter can be found at the children’s ski and play area at the foot of Hovde, with gentle slopes, easy button lifts, and a conveyor belt for the youngest. It's close to service facilities for a comfortable break.

For accommodation, there are options close to the ski area’s delights, providing convenience and proximity to lifts and amenities.

Klövsjö

Known as a skier's resort, the 6-chair lift, Klövsjö Express, takes you to the top in just 4.5 minutes, granting access to all of Klövsjö's skiing.

At the top, you’ll find gentle slopes and access to some of the steepest runs: Svartåshanget, Giant Slalom, and Supersvängen. The entire mountain has become more accessible thanks to the new lift, making it easier to reach family slopes. Those heading to further areas enjoy a quicker and more comfortable journey without crossing traffic. For those seeking speed and challenge on the front side, the skiing days are even more efficient.

Klövsjö’s children’s area received an upgrade, with a spacious and safe environment and a warming hut nearby, complete with essentials and a grill area.

Ski-in ski-out accommodations include Hotel Klövsjöfjäll and other high-standard options, ensuring comfort and convenience.
