Chamonix might sound extreme, but don’t be intimidated. There’s something for everyone here! The Chamonix Valley boasts six distinct ski areas catering to various skill levels. Le Tour offers open, wide slopes, while Le Brévent/Flégère provides long, enjoyable runs on the sunny south-facing slope.
Chamonix
This town, with its charming alpine architecture, bustling atmosphere, shops, cafes, and great accommodations and restaurants, is truly special. There's no shortage of activities for those interested in trying something other than skiing for a day. How about paragliding, ice climbing, or simply enjoying a day of shopping or spending time at the local leisure center?
"We promise you'll leave enriched with experiences and a smile on your face."
Les Houches
Les Houches is the first village you encounter as you enter the Chamonix Valley. Skiing here is family-friendly, and there are plenty of activities to enjoy. In recent years, the ski system has expanded, giving you days of exploration through all the runs. All necessary services such as restaurants and shops are available here.
Argentière
Located near the end of the valley above Chamonix town, this village is where the large cable car departs for Les Grands Montets, and it’s where you’ll find some of the challenging skiing. The village has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, with many small shops and restaurants.
Skiing Tips
For those seeking adventure during their ski vacation, a trip to Aiguille du Midi at 3842 meters is a must. Here you will find an outstanding view of the Mont Blanc massif – it's hard to get closer to the sky! If you’ve booked a guide, you’ll embark on an unforgettable off-piste experience through the Vallée Blanche. The skiing itself isn’t particularly advanced, so a skier of average ability will do fine. The natural experience, however, is spectacular.
